uniting three outdoor worlds in a single space of passion
Look Montagne is a true Swiss institution located in Martigny, an expert in outdoor equipment for over 30 years. To rethink their 380m² space, the owners had an ambitious vision: to create much more than a simple sports shop, but a true living space bringing together a technical store, an activities office to plan guided adventures, and a friendly space, the Look Café.
The challenge: the coexistence of spaces and the hybridization of the customer journey
The layout challenge lay in the hybridization of the venue. It was necessary to harmoniously combine the technical requirements of heavy and specialized equipment (mountaineering, skiing, camping) with the reception of a clientele coming to sit down, chat over a coffee, or book an excursion with a guide, without ever breaking the flow of circulation.
The Mobilier By Mission response
Our design office conceived a custom layout concept focused on "zoning" and robustness:

Intelligent zoning and hybrid separations: Creation of self-supporting structures allowing for the natural delimitation of the three zones (Retail, Guide Office, Café) while maintaining a visual perspective over the entire 380 m².

Ultra-robust and technical furniture: Deployment of gondolas and reinforced steel racks capable of supporting heavy loads (mountaineering equipment, tents, skis), combined with airy display units for trail and trekking textiles.

Warm welcome layout: Integration of custom wood finishes for the activity office reception desks and the Look Café counters, to reinforce the "mountain refuge" and friendly spirit dear to mountain enthusiasts.
A hybrid project of this scale required perfect coordination. After taking measurements and conducting a 3D study, all the furniture (retail and counters) was manufactured in our workshops in Meyzieu. Our installation teams then traveled to Switzerland for a complete and precise assembly, carried out in 4 days of work.
